Adults

Adulthood is the culmination of past experiences, positive and negative. Beginning in childhood these experiences shape our development and sense of self. Unfortunately, most of us don’t have a safe, nonjudgmental space to process these experiences or learn helpful skills to cope with stressful events. As adults, we are made to feel like we should hold it in and bury it, which usually isn’t helpful and likely spills over into other areas of our lives. Finding a space to process lived experiences that bolster stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma can increase overall well-being, improve relationships, and allow us to successfully manage work-life transitions.

I support clients in learning more about themselves, processing their unique experiences, and developing healthier ways to cope. I use therapeutic techniques that allow us to process the past while focusing on issues that brought you into counseling. I have an extensive history of supporting clients that have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Using a combination of psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, neuroscience and neurodiversity, Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques to create a space in which clients find clarity, balance, and relief.
